The WeTeach_Quantum Hub is a professional development initiative designed to help Texas secondary educators introduce foundational quantum concepts in their classrooms.
Through a dedicated cohort model, educators will strengthen their content knowledge and pedagogy by participating in a series of workshops and will receive classroom-ready lessons aligned with physics, cybersecurity, and computer science.

Educators are allowed to participate in only one hub per year, as scheduling conflicts prevent concurrent participation in multiple hubs.

The application process for this program consists of completing the application form. Data provided hekos determine selection amd is necessary for reporting purposes. You must be a certified Texas teacher and currently employed by a Texas school district and/or teaching in a Texas District of Innovation to be eligible.
Participants will be notified of acceptance as soon as they are selected. Space is very limited, therefore completing the application process does NOT guarantee placement in the program.
Educators are allowed to participate in only one WeTeach_CS hub per year, as scheduling conflicts prevent concurrent participation in multiple hubs. Hubs will have priority over other WeTeach_CS events and trainings.
Applicants must attend the in-person Summer, Fall, and Spring Professional Development Workshops which are scheduled for the dates below:
All teachers in the WeTeach_Quatum Hub are expected to implement a minimum of one lesson in the 2026-2027 school year in order to receive their full professional developemnt stipend of $1,500.
Transportation reimbursement and lodging will be provided to teachers selected for the required in-person trainings listed above.
The application process for this program consists of completing the information below. All information in the application form must be filled in completely, as the information is necessary for reporting purposes.
You must be a certified Texas teacher and currently employed by a Texas school district and/or teaching in a Texas District of Innovation to be eligible. Texas secondary teachers of computer science, cybersecurity, math, chemistry, engineering, and physics or whose district plans to have them teach one of these courses in 26-27 and/or 27-28 will be given priority.
The letter, signed by either your campus administrator or district coordinator, must endorse your participation in the WeTeach_Quantum Hub, including a commitment to cover substitute costs for two days of your professional development in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. The letter must also indicate a commitment to allow lesson(s) implemented in your district.
