Computer Science 8-12 Certification Incentive Program (CIP)

This application is for Texas educators applying for a one-time stipend through The University of Texas at Austin, WeTeach_CS: Computer Science 8-12 Certification Incentive Program. CIP Checklist

Candidates must meet all the following conditions to be eligible for the CIP stipend:

1. Have a UT EID.
2. Completed UTakeIt profile.
3. Be pursuing a TEA certification in Computer Science 8-12.
4. Not already be certified in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems (any level).
5. Be currently certified to teach in Texas and the teacher of record in a PUBLIC or CHARTER school classroom (not in a private school), or enrolled in an approved teacher certification program for Texas.

At this time, applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding for this program is limited and an application is considered complete when this online application AND all supporting documentation is complete and received in our office.
