Computer Science 8-12 Certification Incentive Program (CIP)

WeTeach_CS is offering a $1,000 stipend to currently certified Texas educators who add a CS certification to their resume.

This application is for Texas educators applying for a one-time stipend through The University of Texas at Austin, WeTeach_CS: Computer Science 8-12 Certification Incentive Program. If you have not yet read the complete application instructions, or need to access the instructions in order to submit required documentation, please do so now.

CIP Checklist

Candidates must meet all the following conditions to be eligible for the CIP stipend:

1. Have a UT EID (University of Texas Electronic Identifier). If you do not have one, you will need to create a UT EID before applying.
2. Be pursuing a TEA certification in Computer Science 8-12.
3. Not already be certified in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems (any level).
4. Be currently certified to teach in Texas and the teacher of record in a PUBLIC or CHARTER school classroom (not in a private school), or enrolled in an approved teacher certification program for Texas.

At this time, applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding for this program is limited and an application is considered complete when this online application AND all supporting documentation is complete and received in our office.
